• A best seller for months, Spencer offers the reader a unique way of understanding that change happens and everyone must be prepared to accept its arrival. Written in the One Minute Manager style this is a 45 minute-2 hour weekend or evening book. Not a meat book.

• This is one book that should be read cover to cover and fast. If your objectives are to be wealthy, it appears that the vast majority of people we expect are on the fast tract to millionaire stardom are actually living pay check to pay check like most Americans. Take a journey with the authors to find out who really has the wealth in American and the see how even a drive to the mall changes. See the person driving the new BMW... they most likely are not as well off as the F-150 driver parking next to you. Sure changed my perceptions of how to build.
• For those who's dream is to develop security or wealth, Rich Dad Poor Dad helps to explain the concepts of investments, savings, and theories behind accumulation of assets. Easy read and a great reminder of concepts one might already know but does not apply.
• Another easy reading book in the Rich Dad series. Great information about the rules of making money vs. being wealthy with a stream of income eliminating the need to work. The use of passive income is the most power lesson one should learn. On the flip side, the book is not about making it rich quickly, it's about working hard, making good decisions, picking yourself up when things are not going your way, and being a continual student. For some this will always remain a pipe dream. Worth the money. |

• For over a year I let this book sit in a to read pile. Partially because I thought the book would be of limited value and partially because having built several businesses, the material would be basic. The book is neither. Suze address finance in a personal manner that touches everyone from the people you love to the people you may leave behind one day. Read the book and follow her instructions. It's good advice.
• Step two in any educational process is going from the awareness stage to the education stage. The Courage to be Rich is literally step two. If your mindset is to change then you need the tools to make the reality happen. Suze reviews all sorts of philosophies and investment strategies from Roth IRA's to the additional expenses of purchasing a home. Many points were brought up that made a lot of common sense . Deeper than 9 Steps however worth every penny.
• The majority of this book contains comments from Ric's clients and how they have accumulated money. The balance is a surface view of the basics of how money can be accumulated offering very little information except to save as much as you can as often as you can. With the emphasis on starting early in life. As for a thumbs up or down. This is a thumbs down. PS. The book is pre-stock market decline.
• Given to me by a long time friend over 20 years ago, I finally took the time to read the book after finding it in our attic. In 140 pages, the author outlines methods to live by that can generate wealth in any age. A great book...no, an unbelievable book written during the early part of the 1900 and with a message of investing, saving, integrity and growth. Sure wish I had read the book long ago. Go back to Babylon. It's worth it!!
